Step 1: Wear Protective Gloves/Glasses

Step 2: Remove the Chuck Screw
Firstly what you have to do is by using the chuck key, you will lock the jaws to the existing drill chuck open; once you have done that successfully, you will then proceed to remove the reverse threaded screw by turning it clockwise.

Repeat this step as much as you want until the chucks become loose; once they do, unscrew and remove the old drill chuck.
Step 4: Install the Keyless Chuck
Once you have successfully removed the old drill chuck, it is now time to drill in the new keyless drill chuck.
Open the jaws of the keyless chuck fully and then install the old chuck screw and turn it counterclockwise and tighten it.
